Fitness experts say that doing at least one simple exercise daily can make you feel refreshed and energized. Along with that, it can offer multiple health benefits and help solve various physical issues.

So, to stay fit and avoid certain physical complications, start your day by practicing Bhujangasana on an empty stomach right after waking up. Let’s look at how to do this pose:

How to Practice Bhujangasana

To practice Bhujangasana, first lie face down on the floor. Place your palms flat on the ground, keeping them beside your rib cage. Now, keeping your lower body from the waist down pressed to the ground, slowly lift the upper body upwards with support from your hands. Tilt your head back and look upward.

In this pose, your body will resemble a cobra, which is why it’s called Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose). Stay in this position for 20–30 seconds, then return to the starting position. To reduce belly fat, you can repeat this pose 3–4 times daily.

Be sure to practice Shavasana (lying flat on your back like a corpse) for 2 minutes after each round. This will prevent any strain on your body and enhance the effectiveness of the pose in controlling weight and burning fat.
